elcome to my website. I hope you'll take a moment to explore these pages and learn a little bit about why the upcoming City Council election is such an important one; what we can accomplish together and why I'm running for City Council.

This is an exciting time for citizens who believe that we really do have the power to put democracy to work, reviving our public institutions and returning our country to its rightful owners, the people. And I believe these larger trends hold special significance for our city. At a time when corporate interests and developers wield extraordinary power over New York City public policy, I believe we have an historic opportunity to shift the balance of power back to the citizenry. Who says we have to accept high-stakes testing in our schools? Who says we have to tolerate out-of-scale development in our neighborhoods? Who says we have to accept a local environmental policy set in Washington? We do not. Now more than ever, I stand with the optimists who believe that transformative change in government starts right here at the local level.

Here I invite you to read about the issues that are of central importance to me and the ideas I have for the 39th Council District. Please feel free to use the links on this website to communicate your thoughts and concerns for the future of our district.Thank you for your support

Congratulations  to all of us!!!

Special thanks go out to all those who signed up on for bus trips and car pools with Brooklyn For Barack, the Central Brooklyn Independent Democrats, or wherever else, volunteered at the Phone Banks, and did whatever it took to get the vote out both here in Brooklyn, and in the swing states.
Finally a new day in Washington has come.
